On Tuesday, November 12th, Professor Jorge García Gutiérrez gave a presentation on the state of the art in computational pathology, focusing on the open challenges within his project "Optimized Knowledge-Federated Assembly of Autocoded Nodes" (ENFOCA) in Digital Pathology. ENFOCA seeks to advance digital pathology through the integration of optimized and federated knowledge networks. The project aims to enhance pathologists' work by leveraging artificial intelligence to support and optimize their analyses. Computational pathology holds great potential for improving pathologists' performance by increasing accuracy, efficiency, and diagnostic consistency. Additionally, the presentation included an overview of previous work in fields such as environmental remote sensing, autonomous vehicle technology, and renewable energy production forecasting.

New professor internship

Our dear colleague and master thesis student José Manuel Sánchez Ruiz has become a part of the faculty at the University of Seville, as an intern professor. He is currently teaching EDA (Structuring of data and algorithms) and FP (Fundamentals of programming), two of the most important subjects imparted by the LSI (Languages and Information Systems department), and also two of the most challenging learning curves for many students.We all know his talent, humour, youth and golden heart will help soften this curve up. This week our members working on MIDAS Project on Marketing 5.0 Automation attended a meeting at BusinessGo headquarters. This meeting was arranged because of the visit by a CDTI inspector in order to check the deliverables given earlier last year and give an update on the project's progress by presenting both, the company's and the developers' vision on it. MIDAS is a project to develop a Mautic Plugin to optimise and automate a company's marketing team workflow and improve their vision on their potential clients and the products and services that they offer. This is an innovative proposal, as we are making use of Software Product Lines in a Marketing 5.0 environment. Durante las dos jornadas de duración del evento, los asistentes han podido conocer de primera mano las investigaciones realizadas en el seno del laboratorio así como establecer nuevas alianzas y colaboraciones con empresas del entorno. Diverso Lab members take part in JIETSII 2023

ETSII 2023 was the first edition of an event held by ETSII Seville in which students from different university degrees shared their works and investigations in order to promote collaboration between them. Diverso Lab members Antonio Germán Márquez, David Romero and José Manuel Sánchez took part in the event presenting their works and sharing them. Their respective presentations were titled "Vulnerability impact analysis in software project dependencies based on SMT approach", "Transformo: a tool for data transformation using SPL techniques" and "Performance Benchmarking of Open Source Software Projects Using a Collaborative Tool". The presenters successfully exposed their investigations in a summarized and concise way. The first edition of the event was well received by the attendees and it is expected to be held again in the future, promoting further collaborations.

David Benavides, professor at the University of Seville, will give a keynote at the International Software Product Line Engineering (SPLC) conference in Tokyo in the last week of August. Full professor David Benavides David Benavides is the coordinator of the Diverso Lab within the Data-centric Computing Research Hub group and a professor in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Informática. The professor and the group have received several international awards in this area, which will be considered for this invitation. Engineering (JIPII 2023) organized by the Higher School of Engineering (ETS) of University of Cádiz.  After the acceptance of an article related to Process Engineering and E-Collaboration, we present the communication within the framework of the industrial doctorate on Smart Governance that we are addressing with the Provincial Information Society (INPRO).  We thank the Organizing Committee for the good reception, the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the good times shared with the participants.  We hope to continue in this good harmony with the ETS of University of Cádiz and that the experience is repeated.
