Diverso Lab welcomes Maidelis Milanés Luque, lecturer at the Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI) in Cuba, who has begun a research stay with the group as part of her doctoral studies.
Her doctoral research focuses on the application of computational thinking in university teaching, an area that is increasingly relevant as institutions look for new ways to develop problem-solving, abstraction and algorithmic skills among students across disciplines.
During her stay of approximately three months, Maidelis will work in collaboration with Dr. Jesús Moreno-León and Dr. David Benavides. The main goals of the stay are to complete two scientific articles and to develop the proposal for a recommender system to support her research line.
This collaboration strengthens the ties between Diverso Lab and the Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas and opens new opportunities for joint work at the intersection of software engineering and computing education.
